Basic White Bread

I love this recipe so much because its so easy and I can use it for whatever I want. I like making homemade pizza and use this recipe. I can make everyone their own personalized pizza plus have enough dough leftover for cinnamon rolls next morning or place in a ziplock bag and put in fridge to use within the next few days. I can pretty much get about 2 meals out of this. I also use it for dinner rolls, bread loaves, and I as I mentioned above cinnamon rolls. There are few ingredients so it makes for easy making. You can mix it in a KitchenAid mixer or simply by hand with wooden spoon like I have done on countless times.  The hardest part about making bread is patience. Mixing it isn't that bad but then you have to wait to let rise then punch down and let rise again. But when you smell the bread baking in your oven its all worth it!

BASIC WHITE BREAD

2 packages dry yeast (4 teaspoons)
2 cups warm water
4 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 cup oil (I like to use canola oil but have tried olive oil too.)
5 3/4 cups flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in sugar, salt and oil. Add 3 cups of the flour and mix until real smooth. Then add the rest of the flour. Either place your kneading hook in your mixer or take out and knead dough till soft and bouncy like. Place in greased bowl and cover with cloth and let rise in warm place till double which is about 1 - 1/2 hours. Punch down and divide dough into 2 - 3 bread pans, or roll out for cinnamon rolls or shape into rolls. Let rise once again till double then bake at 350 for 30 minutes for loaves and 15 minutes for rolls. If you are using it for pizza roll out and shape how you want. Let it rest for 15 minutes then bake at 400 for 5-10 minutes. Take out and place your toppings on it and bake again for about 10 minutes.

Enjoy! Be creative! Food is fun so have fun making it!
